李献国,加拿大工程院院士、加拿大工程研究院院士,曾任加拿大滑铁卢大学机械工程和机电工程系终身教授,现任中国科学院宁波材料技术与工程研究所氢能与储能材料技术实验室首席专家。长期从事绿色能源和燃料电池技术研究,涵盖了燃料电池系统优化与集成,电堆设计与优化,膜电极设计、优化、测试、制造工艺,催化剂制备、优化、检测,燃料电池材料、部件、膜电极、电堆、系统实验、测试和测试工具以及分析模拟模型的研发等。是世界上第一本燃料电池教科书 Principles of Fuel Cells 的作者。担任国际氢能协会燃料电池分会创会会长,加拿大机械工程协会高级副会长(候任会长),国际绿色能源协会会长。能源工程师联合会官方期刊 International Journal of Green Energy,Frontiers in Thermal Engineering 创刊主编。
讲座内容介绍:
Energy is the foundation and the measure of quality of life and the driver for human civilization, yet its use is a double edge sword, improving the quality of life on one hand and degrading the environment within which human civilization relies on – the global climate change threatens the very existence of human civilization, a worst impact arising from the use of energy and the associated emissions (harmful chemicals, thermal and global-warming greenhouse gases). In this talk, we will look back at the conceptualization, historical development over the past several thousands of years, and classification of energy; energy systems and their dynamics and evolution (energy transition) to the futuristic hydrogen-based diversified energy systems. The talk will also describe the various forms of hydrogen, from grey, blue to green hydrogen; the relation between the green hydrogen production and water supply, the energy-water-food nexus, and hydrogen status change from the secondary (energy carrier) to primary energy resources (the white hydrogen), as well as the use of hydrogen for its chemical and nuclear energy (fusion).
